Encrypted Blockchain Database Research

Aroki Founders Seny Kamara and Tarik Moataz recently finished a fascinating research paper with co-authors Daniel Adkins and Archita Agarwal. It applies Structured Encryption (STE) to create an encrypted and searchable database on a blockchain.

Their approach combines a blockchain’s tamper-proof and distributed storage with a database’s fast execution of complex queries. Here’s a two-part blog series about it. STE is a powerful cryptographic primitive that Aroki uses as the foundation for our end-to-end database encryption products.
